FAMILY COUNSELING

Family Counseling

We believe that the health of your family depends upon the level of support your family receives. Sometimes, our families need more support than is available in our communities. We’re here to help bridge that gap when life becomes overwhelming for your family.

Family Counseling is an approach to therapy that examines the whole family system and how each member of the family can better understand and communicate with each other. Family therapy is not one size fits all, and your therapist might want to work with different family members at different times, and request times alone with parents and children.

Here are some indicators that your family might benefit from family counseling.

  • A family member is having frequent emotional outbursts.

  • Family relationships have been so strained that it’s changed your everyday functions.

  • A family member has become or is violent or threatens violence.

  • A family member is withdrawing from life or family life.

  • Your blended family is struggling to communicate, define roles, and/or establish a peaceful household.

  • The have been significant changes in a family member’s behavior.

  • Your family would like guidance in navigating a child’s ADHD/ASD or other dx.

  • Your family has experienced a trauma and/or a significant loss.
